LuAnn fulfilled one of my biggest dreams, to go soaring in a glider. She made arraingement for me to fly with Soar Utah, at the Heber Valley Airport on my birthday. The people at Soar Utah were great and treated me very well. Here are some pictures and a couple of videos. Dave was a great pilot with lots of experience. The weather was a very blustery October day with winds of 30 knots or better out of the Northwest. Dave found the sweet spot on the front of a mountain wave and it was as smooth as glass.

Sorry about the popping noise on the audio, not sure what it was, but it doesn't keep me from enjoying the memories. For anyone who has ever considered soaring...what are you waiting for? It was extremely enjoyable and much more gentle than the video shows (I must have been shaking with excitement), and I can't wait to figure out how to get some time in the pilot seat.
